B. J. Harman
Music Director
BJ Harman is passionate about elevating the congregational worship experience in a way that encourages congregations not only to participate but also to experience God in worship.
She is an accomplished music director and worship leader with over 25 years of experience working in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Texas churches. Her professional training includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Bible and Music Education from Lancaster Bible College and a Master of Church Music from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with specialization in organ and voice.
Her previous church experience includes work as a Director of Music at South Congregational Church in Peabody, Massachusetts and at First United Methodist Church in Alvin, Texas, plus positions as short and long term substitute organist, and also children/youth choir director in the North Texas area.
BJ is a life-long Christian and musician. She began playing and singing in her home church at the age of 12 and has been participating in church music ever since. She also has a thriving piano studio and accompanies for local schools and events.
